M.anifest releases his sixth album, New Road And Guava Trees – Stream – Aipate
The sixth album by Ghanaian hip hop artist M.anifest dropped the other week via Mass Appeal Records. It is titled New Road And Guava Trees.
At just 38 minutes, the album takes listeners on a sonic adventure characterized by experimentation. It’s also a masterclass in storytelling, with M.anifest flipping through the pages in his personal journey.
“‘New Road & Guava Trees’ is about embarking on a fresh path,” he states. “I grew up in a part of Madina called New Road, where we had a guava tree that symbolized growth and beginnings. This record is about the climb—facing challenges to reach the fruits of our labor.”
From the spiritually downcast “My God” and the thoughtful “FTYD” (featuring A-Reece) to the vibrantly fun “Puff Puff”, this collection of songs is thematically diverse, yet all-encompassing. New Road & Guava Trees is a good album, for sure.
