Introducing Caitlin and Brent: listen to “Nightcall” and “Pleasure In The Pain”
Juggling musical chemistry with real-life connection, singer/composer Caitlin Sherman and Brent Amaker (the frontman of Brent Amaker and the Rodeo) have been able to create music that’s just as visceral as it’s cinematic.
The pair’s first release of 2025 was a stellar reimagination of “Nightcall” by French synthwave artist Kavinsky. This song provided us with a taste of what’s to come in their already-announced, upcoming, self-titled debut album.
Caitlin and Brent did follow that track with “Pleasure In The Pain”, a moody yet uptempo synthwave song–both were accompanied by riveting visuals.
You just can’t imagine how eagerly I have been waiting for the full album which, by the way, is scheduled for a December 12 release. For now, I will be enjoying “Nightcall” and “Pleasure In The Pain”. You too can get to immerse yourself in the duo’s musical world.
