After mesmerizing listeners with “Delete“, pop newcomer Emma Teufel is back with another amazing single. She named the new song “Heartbreak Season”.

Despite the title, there’s nothing moody about this number. In fact, “Breakup Season” is quite boisterous — a fun and addictive song about letting the past be the past.

That sentiment is succinctly captured in the lyric ‘miss me in the rearview, don’t call begging like I need new reasons’. I like how the song’s buoyant synthpop-influenced production suits Emma’s blunt lyrics.

She remarks, “In our venture of creating new pop songs reminiscent of what made pop in the 2000s and 2010s so addictive, we put our brains together to create a melody so catchy it not only would be stuck in your head, but it would be so enjoyable you had to play it twice, if not thrice.“
