Alayna reveals bright visuals for her latest single “Softly” – Aipate
New Zealand artist Alayna‘s just-announced second album Set Her Free (which is to be released on February 13) stems from a place of deep understanding of all the dimensions of love. While her debut album identified self-love as the foundation of romantic connections, this new collection places a high premium on female friendships and familial love.
With the single “Softly”, Alayna sets the theme of the album, presenting us with a glossy R&B/pop cut. The song was paired with a bright-hued music video.
“‘Softly’ is an ode to the profound and enduring love found in the relationships with the women around me,” she explains. “Throughout all my life’s highs and lows, falling in and out of love, I have never not been caught, never not landed softly, because I fall onto this bed of incredible women who have held and loved me through every version of myself.”
