Vibe with Maka and Phlow as they serve up “Lose My Mind” – Aipate

This new song by Nigerian artists Maka (singer) and Phlow (rapper) has me in a chokehold. “Lose My Mind” is the follow-up to their 2016 song, “No One”. Once again, the pair turned to producer Teck-Zilla, who crafted a bouncy groovy-laden instrumental.

I would describe “Lose My Mind” as a hip hop-infused neo-soul track with an infectious bassline. With lyrics about being smitten by someone (new), “Lose My Mind” is quite vibey.

The song is taken from a collaborative project that Phlow and Maka are currently working on — the full-length project is called Hard Shell, Soft Center.
