Obeeyay and Maya Malkin join forces for new duet, “we good or what?” – Aipate

While it’s not at all surprising, “we good or what?”, the new duet from Obeeyay and Maya Malkin, easily falls in the category of collaborations we didn’t know we needed. Exactly one year ago, Obeeyay teamed up with Alayna Grace for “Forgive & Forget“, another duet delving into relationship tension.

“we good or what?” is all about finding a way forward though. Sonically, the song is more upbeat, its nostalgic tone so refreshing. I love the fusion of mid-tempo beats with shimmering synths as well as Obeeyay and Maya’s delightful vocal harmonies.

These artists continue to prove their immense talent. While Obeeyay has become one of our favourites here at Aipate, Maya captured our hearts with her 2020 debut single as a solo artist and has since proceeded to release two amazing albums.
