Signed pair of Depeche Mode frontman’s boots up for auction – Jem Girl at the Piano
A pair of signed gold boots worn by Depeche Mode’s lead singer Dave Gahan have been generously donated to the British Heart Foundation.
The boots, donated by Dave himself, have been listed on the charity’s eBay site for fans and collectors to bid on.
Signed twice along the soles and inside the boots, these iconic shoes were worn by Dave for the Gold Spirit CD Tour announcement. Spirit was the fourteenth studio album by Depeche Mode, released in 2017 by Columbia and Mute Records.
Martin Longshaw, Online Sales & Listing Team Leader at the British Heart Foundation said: “I just can’t get enough of these boots! It’s not every day you receive a direct donation from a famous musician and we couldn’t be more grateful for Dave donating this fancy footwear to the British Heart Foundation. These are a great collector’s item or a fashion statement and whoever snaps them up is very lucky.”
The auction of the boots come as the British Heart Foundation kicks off its Reuse Revolution campaign raising awareness of the benefits of shopping and donating preloved. Money from the sale of the boots will go towards funding the British Heart Foundation’s lifesaving research into heart and circulatory diseases.
Fans and fashionista alike are being encouraged to place their bids to be in with a chance of owning these iconic boots. The boots are listed on the BHF’s eBay site with bidding closing on 3rd May.
