Jessica Sweetman to release brand new Christmas track Single Bells – Jem Girl at the Piano
Born in Birmingham and raised largely on London’s smoky jazz bar scene, Jessica Sweetman’s journey with music first began when she was 15 years old.
Performances on the local gig circuit led to Jessica leaving college, making the big move to London aged just 17, where she continued to hone her craft performing in the glamorous cigar rooms of Mayfair and Soho.
Burning out after four intense years on the London scene, Jessica’s drive amidst the tumult and unpredictability of the music industry saw her book a one-way ticket to New York to tirelessly pursue her first record deal. Jessica has grappled with every curveball the ever-unpredictable music industry has thrown at her – from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows, she has previously worked with the likes of Hozier and Keane, opened for Van Morrison across 12 dates, and wrote her debut album whilst squatting inside BMG’s Nashville offices.
Single Bells comes off the back of her collaboration with British tenor Alfie Boe and their single Broken Perfect Love which was recorded at the iconic Abbey Road Studios.
Single Bells is a playful, feel-good holiday anthem that flips the script on the traditional Christmas love song.
