As Cape Town Artist Luukhanyo Readies Debut album, Watch His Powerful Video for New Single “Venture” – Aipate
To me, Cape Town’s Luukhanyo is cut from the same cloth as American trailblazer Anderson .Paak. The South African artist’s style is a smooth blend of rap, soul and funk, and his breakout single, “Hii ROLLER” (2022), was truly massive, introducing the artist to a global audience and propelling him to a European tour last year (he was supported on tour by his live band The Hii ROLLERS).
Luukhanyo is now gearing up for the release of his debut album, LUCKY UU, which will be released on 7th November via London-based label WUGD). He recently dropped a new single, “Venture”. That song was written as a tribute to the resilience of black people.
“There’s a line in the song that goes ‘couldn’t wash this Black with bleach’ .Black people tend to relate to each other all over the world, and there’s a common understanding of what it means to be Black and that can never be erased,” the artist says about “Venture”.
