American indie rock band The Moss have just returned with their first new material in over a year. They named the song “Darkness”, a title that betrays its groovy, upbeat feel. “Darkness” finds The Moss wandering into the indie pop realm.
“Darkness is written as this cyclical thought, of caring deeply about someone, but needing space from them to sort out your own emotions,” says lead singer Tyke James.
The Moss was formed by Tyke James and guitarist Addison Sharp after moving from Ouahu to Great Salt Lake, with Willie Fowler (drums) and Caiden Jackson (bass) soon joining them. The outfit is working on an EP from which “Darkness” is lifted. Listen to the song and follow The Moss on Instagram.
