Mosaic by Pianist Adrian Lord – Jem Girl at the Piano
I’m happy to be sharing my review of the latest album by classical pianist Adrian Lord, which is titled Mosaic. This will be my third album review for Adrian whose previous releases include Piano Meditations and Piano Postcards.
Mosaic is due for release on 1st August and thanks to Adrian, I have had the pleasure of listening to a sneak preview of the album. Accompanying the album, is a sheet music book and a translucent blue vinyl too. The sheet music book will also be available as a digital download, and the album will be available on Spotify and Apple Music. You can pre-order this release from Adrian’s website, and for those of you living in Manchester UK, the sheet music book will also be stocked at Margin Music in Macclesfield and Forsyths in Manchester.
There are a total of 12 tracks on this album with the track listing as follows:
1. Confetti
2. Eira
3. Liquid Gold
4. Azzurro
5. Lavender Fields
6. As Lights Fall
7. Iridescence
8. Beautiful Girl
9. After the Rain
10. Starry Night
11. Shimmer
12. Autumn Leaves
Confetti sounds moody and gives fantasy novel vibes. Eira is light and breezy and I can imagine it would be wonderful to play. Liquid Gold is fast and uplifting. Azzurro is quiet, laidback and dramatic. Lavender Fields is a lilting and peaceful melody. As Lights Fall sounds darker and expressive. Iridescence is fluid and vibrant. Beautiful Girl is like listening to a lullaby. After the Rain has some drama in its arrangement which makes it very engaging to listen to. Starry Night feels like the musical notes are dancing like stars in the sky. Shimmer is peaceful and calming. Autumn Leaves feels like a warm hug, very comforting.
It is always a wonderful experience for me to listen to new instrumental piano music from Adrian, and Mosaic will be a wonderful experience for any pianists who want to play something different. I love how Adrian’s releases all have a theme as it makes his work stand out and be remembered.
Mosaic will be available on 1st August 2025, sheet music and digital downloads, and Spotify and Apple Music. You can also find Adrian’s work on in flight entertainment on British Airways, Oman Air and Qatar. For more information visit http://www.adrianlordpiano.com
