Shlomi Alon presents his debut album, Retro Kings – Aipate
I’m discovering Shlomi Alon at the right time. The Israeli musician/sax player has just released his debut Album titled Retro Kings. Spanning various styles, the 6-song album provides a truly refreshing listen.
The opening track “Retro Kings” (also the album’s title track) is a tribute to Alon’s musical heroes. Featuring Dekel, it blends funk, jazz, soul and dub, creating a chill, richly layered soundscape. Other songs like “Runnin’” are just as captivating.
