Mike Williams and Eirik Næss “Learn To Fly” in new song – Aipate

Songs that come organically end up being the most enjoyable. That is the story of “Learn To Fly”, the summery new collab from Dutch producer Mike Williams and emerging Norwegian artist/songwriter Eirik Næss.

“Learn To Fly” is a country-tinged tropical-flavoured dance-pop tune filled with carefree energy.

“We wrote the track in Bali. By the pool at a villa, with drinks, a guitar, and a simple recording setup. We just wrote exactly what we were feeling in that moment, and those are often the most fun songs,” says Mike Williams.

Eirik adds, “The song came together supernaturally during a trip to Mike’s villa in Bali. The second we got there, we started vibing on the idea of doing something with a bit of a country flare – but with a tropical twist. Being surrounded by palm trees, warm nights, and that laid-back island energy, it added this sun-soaked, feel-good vibe to everything. We tracked the whole thing by the pool, beers in hand, just soaking in the moment. That whole “live life now, no excuses” energy really shaped the lyrics. It’s about letting go of fear, chasing highs, and going all in—no holding back. Just felt right.“
