NEVE feels homesick new song, “my little island” – Aipate
Hailing from Ireland, NEVE is an independent artist who’s already rubbed shoulders with some big names while touring around the UK and Europe. Buoyed by the success of her 2023 song “Want U Back“, the pop singer-songwriter has her sights set on bigger achievements.
NEVE’s latest single “my little island” comes at a time when she’s preparing for her first series of headline shows in her home country of Ireland. Steeped in homesickness and nostalgia, “my little island” captures the feeling of missing out on important moments with one’s people.
The artist explains, “I wrote this song in London on a day when I was feeling really homesick, I had been on my own for a few days and I just wanted to be in a house in Ireland full of family and homecooking and noise. I cried when in the session over a couple of the lyric choices in the verse, I just felt so moved. I’m Irish and sometimes I do feel like there is no place like home.“
