Stuck With You by Majelen – Aipate
It has never been commonplace for a musician to have their own signature equipment. Given this, Australian artist Majelen releasing her own signature guitar (in collaboration with Cole Clark Guitars) can never be downplayed.
Still, those who have followed her from the beginning of her career wouldn’t be too surprised — as exemplified by her new album titled Stuck With You, she is really good at what she does.
The album spans 12 tracks and showcases Majelen’s adept guitar skills and inspired songwriting. Each song flows seamlessly into the next, allowing for an easy listen. The warm acoustic guitar contributes to the music’s overall calming feel. Stuck With You was produced at the legendary Abbey Road studios.
“Leconfield”, which is the first track on the album, feels both catchy and energetic. It is followed by the punchier and more percussive “Sand Dancing”. Both songs carry with them a folksy vibe.
“Waiting” is another outstanding song. It feels super gentle. The album arrived with the title track, “Stuck With You”.
“Stuck With You” came paired with a lovely visual filmed by Andy Connell and Courtney Wolf. It’s a romantic ballad dedicated to Majelen’s spouse.
The singer-songwriter’s music is often inspired by love stories and the tales from the Australian outback. That is what this album offers. Fans of pop-rock, indie-folk or alternative will definitely enjoy this collection.
The release of Stuck With You coincides with Najelen’s Australian tour — that’s besides her collaboration with Cole Clark Guitars. She is currently on the road, and has so far performed in cities like Gold Coast, Sydney, Bellingen and Canberra. Fans still have a chance to see the musician live in Avoca Beach, Broadbeach and Brisbane in May (find show details in her socials).
