JOA releases Previous Problems EP: listen – Aipate
Previous Problems is the title of the debut EP by Norwegian newcomer JOA.
Released the other week, this 5-song project was preceded by the lovely indie-pop single “Golden Years“. It arrived alongside the title-track, an anthem for avoiding squabbles in relationships.
“I remember writing the words ‘Previous Problems’ in my notebook as a reminder to face the difficult emotions I was going through,” JOA reveals. “It was my way of taking back control—turning things that felt overwhelming into something tangible. Now, at 20, I’m ready to leave those struggles in the past.”
The EP displays JOA’s vocal and lyrical talents. She sings with raw authenticity and is never afraid to be vulnerable. The result is songs that feel relatable to a wide array of listeners.
