The Ivy and Lyncs team up for new song & video, “Don’t Fall Asleep To This” – Aipate
No amount of superlatives will suffice when it comes to this new collaboration between Tulsa-based American duo The Ivy (singer/guitarist Wyatt Clem and multi-instrumentalist Shawn Abhari) and talented singer-songwriter Lyncs.
The indie-pop tune is called “Don’t Fall Asleep To This” and was released together with an alluring music video directed by Grant Wynn. Carrying hints of synthpop and wrapped in clean production, the song is utterly captivating.
“Working with The Ivy on ‘Don’t Fall Asleep To This’ was an incredible experience,” Lyncs reveals. “The song started with a mesmerizing, lullaby-like synthesizer. Initially, we leaned into that dreamy, slow vibe, but by the second day, we transformed it into something more upbeat and driving, which gave it that dynamic energy that matched both our sounds.”
