Have you heard to the latest release by NYC-born songwriter and producer Michael O.?

The R&B-inflected afropop song is called “Atention” and was written and recorded in the musician’s Lagos apartment, alongside singer-songwriter Chuvano and producer Nolimitz.

“I opened up about a long-distance relationship that I didn’t want to lose, but no matter how hard I tried, it slipped away,” Michael says, revealing the inspiration behind the song. “It was the first time I truly experienced losing love, and it hit me hard. That raw emotion became the foundation of the song.“

I love the simplicity of this song. The beautiful vocals, addictive melodies and the smooth yet vibrant sound all make me want to listen to it again and again.
