Paris-born France-Cameroonian musician James BKS makes music rooted in his West African heritage, incorporating influences from modern pop and hip hop.
James did release a new single a fortnight ago. The self-produced new song is called “On My Way” and is taken from his upcoming EP titled See Us Rise.
Layered with beautiful choir harmonies, “On My Way” is an uplifting song about the artist and producer’s inspiring musical journey.
He remarks, “It was precisely when I thought I’d made it that life reminded me that every flower blooms in its own time. This song explores that path, where every misstep becomes a lesson. It’s an ode to moments of creation, to the flashes of the main stage, and to realising that growth takes time. Every step, every fall, every triumph is part of the journey to self.”
Most, if not all, of us have at one point embarked on a journey in which success isn’t guaranteed. This song reminds us to maintain focus and keep the faith.
